Summer Finding - Festival of Ostara blot.

Südhimmel Hearth members gathered together for our Summer Finding - Festival of Ostara blot.

The weather was perfect, glorious sunshine, warm with strong winds.

The Landvættir rite was held, followed by the hammer hallowing.
Members stood in quiet meditation listening to the rhythmic sound of the drum being played by the youngest member.

Blot was held, a ritual telling of the history of Ostara was performed and an offering was placed in the pond amongst the reeds in honour and reverence to Ostatra.

Sumbel followed with salutes and toasts to the gods, ancestors and those close to our hearts.

The rune box was passed around x3 with members pulling runes, reflecting and discussing their interpretations.
The Havamal was passed around x3 with members selecting random pages and reading outloud and again, reflecting and discussing their interpretations.

Memebers discussed future events and future changes and the odd markings on one of the stones in the ritual circle, runes? members spoke of our ritual imprint, could they be?

Members then headed off to a local pub for lunch.

A fantastic day had by all.
